Technoloy, such a beautiful thing :)

This is Katja

Katja is one of my closest friends yet she lives the farthest away. She is half way around the world. She lives in Leipzig, Germany. Brian met her family while he was on his mission. She was around 14 years old when her family was baptized. Brian's parents offered to have her come to America (Utah ;) and stay with them any time she'd like. She came out every two years and stayed the whole summer. When I met Brian, she had come out that summer and we hit it off. You know when you meet someone and you have this instant connection like you've known each other forever. That's what it was like and we've been close ever since.

Now, she is married in the Temple to her best friend. He is wonderful and treats her like a queen. They have a beautiful little boy named Adrian. He is their whole world and the sweetest little boy. He is so lucky:)

I love technology. It would really stink to not have it. I instant message her every day. I feel so grateful to live in a time when I can do that. It usually takes forever to send her a letter the old fashioned way;) I love, love email and I love, love, love IM.

I am so glad you have such a good friend. Rotten that she's so far away though. I am grateful for technology also. Although, I do miss getting things in the mail. People don't mail cards, etc anymore because of email. Course, with the price of postage (which continues to rise) I don't blame them! :-)

Good freinds...What would we do without them? I know I am so thankful for the good friends in my life. Katja sounds wonderful and I love the pictures.

What a wonderful time we live in to be able to use this technology to stay close to our family and friends!

P.S. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
