My Wee Babes

I don't think I'll ever be able to get enough of these kiddos.  They are wonderful and delicious!  My favorite times are when we are home together in harmony.  Of course, it doesn't happen like that all the time but the day we took this picture was very lovely!

5 great reasons why I love these babes:

5.  She is grateful.

Calvin

2.  He is tender-hearted.
3.  He is huggable and lovable.
4.  He is smart.
5.  He is also very grateful.

Croy
1.  He is a chatter box.
2.  He is very sweet.
3.  He is happy.
4.  He is clever.
5.  He is a snuggler.

Grant
1.  He is strong.
2.  He has the biggest smile.
3.  He eats his hands.
4.  He is kissable.
5.  He loves his siblings.

It's official...She's 12!

Can you believe it...Tim is 12!  Time flies by way too quickly.
We've enjoyed every minute with her.  She is wonderful to be around and the best big sister around:)  Calvin called her "Burr" and Croy calls her "Tim."  She can't wait to hear what Grant will call her.
Life would be so hard without her.  She is an amazing amount of help around the house from cleaning to taking care of babies.  She is always willing to help when asked.  She always smiles and loves to hear music all the time.  I think she walks around with a song in her mind, her own little jingle that makes her happy.  I love it and her more than life!

Happy Birthday Darling Daughter!!!!

Then and Now...

Can you believe how fast time flies?!  Seriously, who said she could grow up.  She will be 12 in one month and 10 days.  A young woman...she definitely fits the role but I'm just not ready to give her up yet.  She is so sweet.  She loves to read and read and read some more.  She is always getting books for me at the library.  "Here mom, you'll love this."  and of course, I do.  I'm so grateful for her.  She is a gem and we are very very very fortunate!!

Have a great day!!

I pray for patience...now!

One of my favorite talks this last weekend. I'm always praying for patience "now." How can I handle this trial or the next without it...hahaha! I love it!! Sis Dalton's did an amazing job as well. I love listening to conference and I'm always disappointed when the prophet gets up at the end of the last session Sunday afternoon to close it. Not disappointed that I didn't get enough info or opportunities to feel the spirit confirm the messages but disappointed that life will go back to "crazy" normal.

However, the power went out this afternoon. My kiddos were dying, famished, BORED, cold, deprived of electronics, etc...need I say more. Once they settled down with full bellies, thanks to KFC, they were happily playing card games, talking, giggling and enjoying one another. It turned out to be a great night!

Grant-Our Surprise Blessing

Grant is definitely a blessing!! A surprise blessing...we thought we were through, no more attempts, finished, done, can't deal with anymore losses. If you would have told me 3 short years ago that we'd have two more kids. I would have laughed and told you you were crazy. Guess I was oh so wrong and I am oh so grateful to be wrong.

We are over joyed with this little guy. He is a mellow baby, sleeps and eats like a champ and is adored by the kids. He is so cute. He looks a lot like Calvin. He has the same mouth and eyes. He looks a lot like Croy and Brooklyn when he's sleeping. It's so fun to compare your kids. They all have their own look but each share a nose or eyes. I love the little moments when I can study/memorize their little features!

Calvin is excited that he looks like him. He is a proud big brother. He loves to hold and kiss him. He is so tender and sweet! Brook thinks he's her little live baby doll. She loves to hold and feed him. She wants to babysit him already. I'm not ready to leave him yet though. Give me a few months:) Croy loves loves loves the baby. I thought he'd have a really hard time. He was upset for about a day and a half. He loves to hold him and say "oohh..." and "he's sad" when he cries. Too cute!!!

I can't believe that we have these pics. Jen walked in the door minutes away from all the action. I am very grateful to her for these memories. Thank you, Jen!!

Updates

Updates on the family")

The kids finished school Friday, June 10th. It was a great year and always hard to say goodbye to amazing teachers. Even Calvin didn't want the school year to end. He has loved his teachers and I do too. Brooklyn's teacher is one of the kindest ladies I've met. Brooklyn loved her and couldn't say enough wonderful things about her. She is really going to miss not having her next year.

Brooklyn just finished a week at Institute. Institute is a week long Suzuki Strings camp. She loved it. Brian took her this year while I stayed home with the boys. She came home everyday excited to tell me about her day. Her favorite teacher was Terry Durbin, violin performance. She giggle and told all of his funny stories and jokes. I went the last day with her to the class. He was hilarious. I sat with a teacher from Centerville during the final performance and she told me that her students will learn his songs specifically so they can attend his classes. I understand that, those kids sounded amazing! She really liked her master teacher, David Becker. He had her work on shaping her dynamics and her intonation. She adored her chamber teacher, Anne Francis. She loved performing with the viola and cello. I wish I could tell you about the other teachers but I don't remember who they were. I really missed out not going this year. Next time I'll be there! :)

Calvin is working on his high white belt in Taekwon Do. He is also getting ready to go to Cub Scout camp. I chaperoned the Bears a few years ago. I told him about all the fun things he'll get to do. He is stoked! Brian is going to chaperone his group this time. Brian is lucky to get to go!

Croy is as cute as ever! He is learning all his letters and sounds. He is starting to learn his colors too. He loves to take Brian's ipad and play preschool games on it. He has finally gotten over his fear of the step out the front door and will go out by himself now. He loves to jump on the tramp now too. He was so terrified to get on it that you could feel his legs shaking when he got on it the first time. He sat down with me and watched birds and planes for a good 30 mins before he'd try to stand up. Once he figured it out he has been on it everyday since.

Brian and I are just waiting now. We wanted to get past the kids being done with school and Brook's Institute. We only have to wait until Saturday now. Remember those fabulous fluid levels and the breech baby issue. Both have changed quite a bit. I went in at 36 weeks to have an external cephallic version. The doctor wanted to try to turn the baby. During the ultrasound he discovered that the fluid levels had decreased by 1/2 in two weeks. He went ahead with the version which was successful...woot! But I don't recommend it unless you are desperate. It is so painful!!! They put their hands on your stomach where the head and bum are located (they use an ultrasound through the whole procedure) and twist, twist, twist and twist some more. At this point (37 weeks) the levels have dropped some more but not in the danger zone yet. My stomach hasn't grown past 31-32 cm. We are all nervous to have another sick NICU baby so he is pushing off as much as he feels comfortable with. So, unless I go into labor on my own (haven't with any of them) Saturday is the day we get to meet our baby and find out if it's a girl (Lucy) or boy (Grant William). We haven't settled completely on names but those are some that I like. And I get the final say this time;)

We have been extremely blessed and are so thankful to our Heavenly Father! We are so fortunate to have the families and friends that surround us. I don't know what we'd do if we didn't have all of you around so thank you, thank you, thank you!! Loves!

What is up with blogger these days?

Seriously annoyed lately! First of all, a few of my posts disappeared then blogger deleted the whole blog. I had to go through a security process to get it back. Apparently there was suspicious activity going on...I'm not sure what they were talking about:/ Anyways, it won't let me comment on most of our friends and family blogs. It will let me randomly...weird. Anyways, I have been following your blogs and wishing I could comment. I love keeping up with everyone and I hope you all know that we love you! Keep on blogging!

Perfect!!

34 weeks...woo hoo!!! I know this isn't the best pic but when they are in a position that won't allow for a good shot then this is what you get. The CHUBBY little cheeks, nose and lips!
I had an appointment today with an ultrasound because I am measuring 3 weeks behind from the outside. I didn't sleep last night stewing and worrying picturing the worst case senerios. I hate it when I do that...grrr.

The ulrasound measurements came back as 34 week size baby weighing in at 5 lbs 4 oz. That's the usual size of the one's I bring home. My fluid level is.....ta-da...14 cm. That's double what I had with Croy and perfect for 34 weeks. So where is the missing 3 weeks??? Got me!!

So, I'd say perfect appointment!! Except...the baby is breech:/ So pray for the baby to boogie and turn over:) Oh, gender is still unknown.

Calvin...love him!

Taekwon Do
Sparing

Patterns

I am learning so much from my kids! I never thought I'd live for taekwon do, violin, Harry Potter, pokemon, Cars, etc... I find it very interesting that my kids loves become my obsessions. (I remember my mom spending the whole day at a swim meet with me...love her even more now!) I spent 6 hours at a tournament with Calvin watching him compete in the different events. He is so cute in his uniform and sparring gear. He thought his mouth guard was pretty cool because Uncle David has one for football. He is so good to make sure he puts his sparring gear away carefully so it doesn't get smashed. I love seeing him take pride in his hobbies!

Even though he and I butt heads constantly I'd give my life for him. He is a one sweet, tender hearted, lovable little boy.

Does he have to grow up:(...sniff sniff ??
