Federation 2011

It's that time of year again. Federation!! It's always a bit scary but she works hard and it pays off. Her teacher, Aunt Jane, is amazing. She encourages her to do her best. She is patient, kind and very good at what she does. Brooklyn loves her so much and is eager to do what is asked.
I went into violin blindly and I'm grateful I did. I don't think I would have taken it on had I know how much work it is. I do have to say it has been completely worth it. There has been times where I've wanted to jump up and save her from tough times but she'd cry for a minute then try again. She really enjoys being challenged. She loves how it feels to pass off a song that has been a real struggle.
Mostly, I am so grateful for the experiences and opportunities that she has had. I would have never dreamed in a million years that these young kids could accomplish what she has managed to do. This next summer she'll be going to Institute for a week. It is a great week filled with learning, growing and having fun.
