Oops!!

So, I got up this morning with a whole list of things I'd like to get done. I was cruizing around getting my to do list checked off when my dear sweet hubby comes in and asks what I'd like to do tonight. "What do you mean?", I ask. He then says, "It's our anniversary tomorrow." That's when the "Oops" came into play, usually it's the other way around in most relationships. So, we are going to go out tonight and celebrate 13 years. It has gone by so fast. I had to do the math to double check the 13, yep it's right:)

Happy Anniversary Brian!!

I love my doctor!!

I had an appointment today and my blood pressure looks fabuloso. Here's the best part, my doctor said that he may go ahead and induce on my dad's birthday. I didn't even have to ask. Still keeping my fingers crossed. :)

I'm going to have to wait that long anyway.
1. Brooklyn has a recital this Friday.
2. Neighbor's birthday open house that my committee is in charge of this Sunday.
3. Calvin has to recite a nursery rhyme for his class on Friday, March 20th.
4. Brooklyn has Violin Federation on Saturday, March 21th.
5. I'm in charge of the Ward Talent Show on Friday, March 27th.
6. Not to mention that I've committed to helping in their classes each week.
7. And this couldn't have worked out better, my kids go off track March 27th for three weeks. Perfect.

I'm just grateful that my doctor is thoughtful and considerate of my wishes even though they are not what they would normally do. Even if it doesn't come down to what I'd like, I'm just grateful that he was willing to talk about it.

Draper Temple Open House

So, my sil called last night and asked if I'd like to go to the open house with her because her hubby ended up having to work.

This was my second time because I had taken my kids in January during the day while we were off track. We were by ourselves through most of the tour which worked out great for Calvin.

It was late and I was so tired but decided to go. I left my house at 8 pm and our tour started at 8:40 pm. Even though it was so late, I had a marvelous time. It was nice to go slow and look around more. It was calming, relaxing, the company was fantastic and I left feeling better than I had all day. Gotta love that!!

Thanks, Ashleigh!!

And the Award for "World's Meanest Mom" goes to....

Me!! Yep, I won it fair and square. Here are the reasons for such an honor.
In the "Making your kids do horrible things everyday" catagory:

1. Brush your teeth night and morning.
2. Showering includes washing your hair.
3. Wash your face every day.
4. Wash your hands after using the potty.
5. Yes, you do have to eat five bites before you can have anything else.
6. Bedtime means bedtime, not sneak out of your room until your grounded for a week.
7. Yes, you do have to read your site words everyday. Just like yesterday and the day before that.
8. Hang up your backpack and coat as you walk in the door.
9. No tv until you are dressed and ready to walk out the door for school.
10. If I'm going to "pay" for your school pictures, you will wear what I want. I promise it won't be too humilating.

Why is it so hard to do the stuff we need to do everyday? Really, does Satan work on these little things to slowly break us up? I came home from dropping them off at school so angry with my kids. Stupid reasons why but none the less, I was ticked.

I think I have a small, teeny, tiny taste of what the Lord feels like when I'm not grateful for my blessings. I think he gets tired of making my life as uncomplicated as possible and I am so oblivious to how wonderful it is that I don't even show gratitude. I bet it's as beyond frustrating to him as it is to me. I just goes to show that I have a lot of things that I am forgetting to do everyday to be as obedient to him as I'd like my kids to be to me. I guess I need to be more forgiving to my kids as I've always hoped and expected from Heavenly Father.

I really started this as a rant but instead I'm really seeing my own faults. I guess I have a lot of repenting and soul searching to do before I pick up my kids today.
PS...this isn't to make anyone feel guilty. Just my crazy hormonal thoughts.

We have a possible date

I had my appointment today and everything looks great. Still measuring a few weeks small on the outside but just fine on the inside. A few weeks ago I talked to my dr about possibly inducing me on my dads birthday which is March 30th. His health is declining quickly and I thought it would be good to have at least one grandchild born on his birthday. It's always fun to share your birthday with a grandparent.

We looked at the calender today and March 30th is three days too early to justify at this point. He can safely say April 2nd (not too bad, April 1st is my dad's mom's b-day). The only way to be induced on the 30th will be to have my blood pressure go up. The dr seems to think that it will. He's giving me an 80% chance that it will.

I have a history of high blood pressure. Obviously genetic because I don't fall into the normal catagory for high blood pressure problems. I'm not over weight (I know I should lose a little), I exercise and eat decently. When I was preg with Brooklyn my blood pressure spiked the day they induced me. I really think it was the Lords way of getting them to look at the real problem which was my amniotic fluid levels were dangerously low.

When I was preg with Calvin, my blood pressure was high the whole time. I didn't ever have any other signs for toxemia so they just watched me. I thought that over time it would return to normal after I had Calvin and began running, playing soccer, spinning and training seriously for races. Nothing changed so I have been on medication ever since. It's seems to be very well controlled and I haven't had any spikes.

My dr seems to think that it will become a problem at the end so that may allow the March 30th induction. Cross your fingers that I only have elevated blood pressure on that day. :) (nothing more serious, please)

I'm feeling like a stuffed turkey :-p

Seriously, I don't feel like I can stretch anymore but I'm sure I will. I haven't taken very many pics so I thought it was about time. This marks 30 weeks, woo hoo!! Only 10 more to go :)
